Our Story

Thought Stew is an independent publication based in India. We are an archive of collaborations, analysis, raw choices, observations and stories documenting the optimistic outlook, creative endeavours, and sustainable disciplines in every dimension of human thoughts and encounters. Every year, we compile a digital issue, in collaboration with artists of various disciplines of works to bring you stories that haven’t been express, portrayed or published before.

Our thought based stew got inspired by the ultimate one-pot organic meal made for hundreds of years. A stew is literally, in all portions, what you put in it. There’s no better way to express tough, close to the shank cuts of identical pieces that are totally immersed in liquid and delicious in stewing them with vegetables, aromatic spices, and broth over the course of a breakfast or dinner. In the same way, we base our thoughts on solid reason, detailed observation, overlooked scenarios, personal biographies, and inspiring chapters of our life.

We write about all forms of human encounters and their interaction with everyday life — from meditation, coffee time, cooking, traveling, designing, and farming to political observations and scientific inspirations, featuring experiences, objective-based opinions, and creative collaborations.

Who Makes Stew?

Founder and Editor

Mr. Philip Mundakkan started an independent digital magazine, Thought Stew in November 2020 with a focus to apprise collective thoughts, insightful stories, and personal experiences that haven’t been told anywhere before. Philip is an independent scholar, brand marketer, sustainability advocate, visual artist, pizza baker, amateur perfumer, and a budding farmer. We believe in the magic of thoughts and illustrations. We work as an independent platform for new and emerging writers, photographers, and artists to connect a global community of creative storytellers.

Our Roots

We believe that the Intelligent Optimism is crucial to Human Progression. There is nothing to be attained from blind optimism. But we can ground an optimistic mindset in rationality, intellect, and evidence. Intelligent Optimism is all about being elevated about the future in an informed and rational way. The roots of our mindset is critical if we are to get everyone curious about the future by highlighting the rapid progress we have made and recognizing the enormous potential humans have to find solutions to our problems.
